Dennis Gabor CBE FRS (/ˈɡɑːbɔːr/); Hungarian: Gábor Dénes;) was a Hungarian-British electrical engineer and physicist, most notable for inventing holography, for which he later received the 1971 Nobel Prize in Physics.
