Jason E. Chaffetz (/ˈtʃeɪfɪts/; born March 26, 1967) is an American commentator and politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Utah's 3rd congressional district, from 2009 until 2017. He was the chairman of the United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform from 2015 until 2017.
