Clement Leroy "Butch" Otter is an American businessman and politician serving as the 32nd and current Governor of Idaho since 2007. A member of the Republican Party, he was elected in 2006, 2010, and 2014. Otter served as lieutenant governor from 1987 to 2001 and in U.S. Congress from the first district from 2001 to 2007. Otter is the longest-serving incumbent governor in the United States whose time in office has run consecutively, at 11 years, 9 months. His election win in 2014 was his tenth consecutive victory.
