Peter Horton (born August 20, 1953) is an American actor and director. He is perhaps best known for the role of Professor Gary Shepherd on the television series Thirtysomething which he played from 1987 until 1991.

I just think age is meaningless. It's a system we've all agreed to that supposedly signals when we should develop, reach our peak and go downhill, as they say. It interferes with our natural growth.
