Wendy Jane Greuel is an American politician. She served as Los Angeles City Controller from 2009–13 and was only the second woman elected to citywide office in Los Angeles, after her predecessor Laura Chick.
It is a unique challenge for a woman to demonstrate that they can lead, that they will be strong, that they can handle crisis, and that they gain respect.
One aspect of my life and career that has helped me be successful is having mentors - having women show me the way. We have to support other women.
