Sir Brian Harold Donohoe is a former Scottish Labour Party politician and former trade union official, who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Central Ayrshire from 2005 until losing his seat in 2015. Prior to constituency boundary changes in 2005, he was MP for Cunninghame South and was first elected in 1992.

Devolving APD to Scotland is merely tinkering with it. We have to get shot of this hated tax right across the country to ensure all of our airports are competing on level terms.

Climate has always changed year on year and is unstoppable as a phenomenon. I am sceptical of the evidence being presented as fact and do NOT believe that the interference by Government will have much affect on changing temperatures or rainfall. Indeed as a gardener in the West of Scotland I look forward to warmer temperatures and more rain so will be doing nothing as an individual that can in any event be seen as tokenism to a perceived problem.

The trouble is that we do not know whether it has delivered better outcomes or not in services. After more than a decade, the time is right now to carry out a study like this and see if devolution is delivering where it counts.
