Eugene F. Rivers III is an American activist, and Pentecostal minister based in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a pastor of the Azusa Christian Community Center in Dorchester of Boston, and co-founder of the Boston TenPoint Coalition and co-chair of the National TenPoint Leadership Foundation, both working on issues of urban violence that impacts African Americans. He was one of the leaders of what has been called the "Boston Miracle" along with other protestant clergy leaders in the Boston area. He has appeared on national television shows, including Hardball with Chris Matthews with Michael Rogers defending Rick Warren. He was featured on the cover of Newsweek Magazine in 1998, and he was written about in Commonwealth Magazine 1999. He is also an adviser to Bishop Charles Blake for Save Africa's Children
