eepa Kumar is an associate professor of media studies and Middle Eastern studies at Rutgers University (New Jersey). She earned her BA at Bangalore University (India), and an M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh. She is the author of Islamophobia and the Politics of Empire and Outside the Box: Corporate Media, Globalization, and the UPS Strike.
