Anand Giridharadas/ˈɑːnənd ˌɡɪrɪˌdɑːrəˈdɑːs/ (born September 27, 1981) is an American author and newspaper columnist. He has written for The New York Times and the International Herald Tribune. He is the author of two books, India Calling: An Intimate Portrait of a Nation's Remaking (2011) and The True American: Murder and Mercy in Texas (2014). Much of his writing has focused on India and its people.
