Why Don't We is an American boy band consisting of Zach Herron, Jack Avery, Daniel Seavey, Corbyn Besson, and Jonah Marais. The band originally formed on September 27, 2016, after having all met in Los Angeles, California, a year prior. On October 7, 2016, the group released their debut single "Taking You," a track from their debut EP, Only the Beginning, which was released on November 25 of the same year.

That was pretty crazy, going from singing in my room to singing in front of 5,000 people.

When we were presented with the opportunity to start this group, we were just like, 'Why don't we?' The name stuck. You can also apply it to tons of different things. Why don't we spread positivity? Why don't we love each other?
