Robert Alphonso "Bob" Taft III is an American politician and attorney. He is a member of the Taft political dynasty and served as the 67th Governor of Ohio between 1999 and 2007. Prior to that he served as Ohio Secretary of State under George Voinovich. After leaving office, Taft started working for the University of Dayton beginning August 15, 2007. He is a member of the Republican Party.
