Very much so. Things have gone well. We're going to have a relationship. We'll get done what we need this year. He's been real dedicated this summer. He'll be a captain, I don't know who will be a co-captain with him.

If we can accept whatever hand we've been dealt - no matter how unwelcome - the way to proceed eventually becomes clear.
Phil Jackson
-
He's moved on. It's time for the fans to move on.
Phil Jackson -
That was something to behold. It was another level. I've seen some remarkable games, but I've never seen one like that before.
Phil Jackson -
It seemed like I was going to keep stopping the game until we got it right. It was slipping away from us.
Phil Jackson -
I think there's something about wanting to stand in the spotlight. I think the ball is a spotlight, for example, and I think they want to stand in that. I a lot of times see - LeBron is a guy that vacillates between wanting to do that and then wanting to get somebody else involved.
Phil Jackson -
We're a ways away from being that next level of NBA team.
Phil Jackson -
I thought we played in spurts tonight. We came out with a little more energy in the third quarter, compared to our last two games, which helped a lot.

This trip, you've got to do a lot of PR work for the league, pump up that Miami game on Christmas Day because they're asking you to do this all the time. And don't forget, Orlando is just as important in the win-loss column.
Phil Jackson -
You can't force your will on people. If you want them to act differently, you need to inspire them to change themselves.
Phil Jackson -
I still think we have a good chance, ... I still feel that we're the odds-on favorite to be the team of destiny.
Phil Jackson -
He had a so-so game. He played adequately.... Everybody's a work in progress right now.
Phil Jackson -
When you start out a ball game and the first thing they do is call an offensive foul on him for a nonexistent foul, you know the kid doesn't have a chance out there playing. The referees just give him nothing. It's embarrassing.
Phil Jackson -
He's had to make some adjustments. I really feel like the adjustments have been made.
Phil Jackson
-
It was a disappointing loss tonight. We couldn't finish it to its completion.
Phil Jackson -
We'd rather have Steve being the guy that's taking the shots and making the points than having a bunch of guys get 20 points or 15 points a game.
Phil Jackson -
I think it's a matter of trust, a matter of rebuilding the trust that we had, ... And yes, I have talked to Kobe; he actually called me this morning to congratulate me on the job. And I felt confident that he's confident that we can go forward.
Phil Jackson -
I've seen some remarkable games but I've never seen anything like that before. It's just a personal challenge for him to attack the whole team. It was not exactly the way you want to win a game, but when you have to win a game, it's great to have that weapon to be able to do it. We rode the hot the hand.
Phil Jackson -
They have that inner knowledge that (makes them) capable of going in, being tired and making the game come to them, how they want to play the game.
Phil Jackson -
I think he got drawn into the play and didn't make the right decision.
Phil Jackson

The best part of basketball, for those people on the inside, is the bus going to the airport after you've won a game on an opponent's floor. It's been a very tough battle. And preferably, in the playoffs. And that feeling that you have, together as a group, having gone to an opponent's floor and won a very good victory, is as about as high as you can get.
Phil Jackson -
I think that contributed to it somewhat. So we live with that decision.
Phil Jackson -
This is something I never thought could possibly happen, ... It's a pleasure to come back.
Phil Jackson -
You have to be able to psychologically help your players, support-wise, be in touch with them, so I think managing people is very important.
