De la Huerta is notable for her roles in the films The Cider House Rules (1999), A Walk to Remember (2002), Choke (2008), Enter the Void (2009), and Nurse 3D (2013), and for her role as Lucy Danziger in the HBO drama series Boardwalk Empire.
