I'm sure it's going to be faster. And hopefully we're right on top of it.
-
Everybody has a destiny. That's the only thing I would tell him. He's there for a reason. He should just do the job he was hired to do.
-
I'm definitely optimistic about our competitiveness in 2006. I think if this team works hard all year, we'll be in good shape for the championship. There are so many good drivers in this series, it won't be easy, but that is what makes winning all the better.
-
I don't know what to do anymore. I just wanted to make him earn it on the outside.
-
Everything is going the way we are planning but until the checkered flag, you can't count on it. Today, we are extremely happy. That's what we need to be thinking about and enjoy this moment.
-
Motor racing is going to miss a phenomenal race driver and I'm going to miss a good friend. I think I will learn a lot with Sam. He is an experienced driver even though he is young. He's been fast at a lot of tracks where we haven't done well so I hope to learn from him.
-
We were very close many times. I don't think there were a couple of times that a hair could have even be between the wheel and my wheel. I don't think we ever touched. I tell you, I respect him a lot after this race. Not that I didn't respect him before, but he definitely drove like a champion.
-
Obviously, we are extremely disappointed. I thought we were finally going to finish. I'm not sure what happened to the car.
-
I have not changed much. I haven't gotten a big ego or anything.
-
I was trying to go as fast as I could. I didn't know I was in the lead. I was this close to the wall.
-
It was a tough run and we tried really hard. The track changed a little bit from the morning to the afternoon which was a little bit to our favour. We tried something in the beginning of the top-six qualifying and it didn't work, and we had to stop right away. We used the tyres up and the track was better. At the end of the day, I don't think we would have been able to catch Ryan. He did a good job. Now we look forward to the race tomorrow and hopefully will do well.
-
Actually, I have to ask you: What's the weather going to be like tomorrow?
-
It would be good karma.
-
Indy is the next race and it's part of the championship and ... it's kind of special. I know the team and everything is going in the right direction, but it's too early to get emotional.
-
We're not here to make a statement. It's good the results are showing up at the track. The last few years we've been working extremely hard. Toyota worked hard with us, and unfortunately, Honda was always at the top of the game. Right now things are more balanced, so we are very happy those two years paid off.
-
It was very weird. There were some wet spots. I put rain tires, dry tires, rain tires. I kept on going back and forth. It was very hard to find balance. Toward the end I felt comfortable.
-
Every time you go out on the track, which is very technical and unique, you learn something different. This place, if you keep practicing, keep running and learning every corner, you'll be consistently fast.
-
No, that would be a lame excuse, to be honest. He's a good driver, he's fast, but that was definitely a full-face error.
-
It was just not enough. If we were like NASCAR and had bumpers, I'm sure I would have won the race.
-
Paul Dana, you're in our hearts. You're family.
-
Unfortunately, I think we made the wrong choice on our race setup, and the Marlboro Team Penske car had a tremendous push in Turns 3 and 4. Those corners were my biggest problem. I could barely touch the throttle going through there. The team made front wing adjustments on both of our pits stops, but it didn't really help. All considering, I'm pretty happy with a fourth-place finish.
-
Yeah. You know, we're not here to rub it in or make a statement. It's shows that for the past two years we've worked very hard.
-
My dad is down there. He's the one who's calling the shots.
-
Some drivers might be twisting their nose or don't like the idea. The way I see it, it's good for everybody.
