William Mack Brown (born August 27, 1951) is an American college football coach at the University of North Carolina. He was formerly the head football coach of the Texas Longhorns football team of the University of Texas at Austin. He was recently a college football commentator for ESPN. In January 2018, Brown was selected to enter the College Football Hall of Fame. In November 2018, Brown took the vacant job at North Carolina, replacing Larry Fedora.
