Every game we have a period of time when we slack. We grab teams by the neck and choke them until they can't breathe. Then we start relaxing and my blood pressure goes up.
-
It was great to see our team execute. We really moved the ball, we got good shots and we were looking for each other. It was one of the better games I've seen in a long time, and it can't come at a better time than now.
-
Offensively we were not making the extra pass and not getting a nice, smooth transition look. We were not attacking or executing our patterns. It wasn't Villanova. It's just the way we play.
-
We want it by ourselves and I think the greatest test of them all is to play Connecticut at our place, last game on the line and they've got a chance to share it. It's going to be crucial.
-
That kid was getting open looks for that shot. As a team, we usually play extremely well getting out on the 3.
-
I went off. They were unforced turnovers, too.
-
The freshmen grew up a lot and we as a team grew up a lot. We learned how to win.
-
A lot of people got bent out of shape thinking that we claimed to be the jewel of the east. What we hoped to do was become the jewel of the east. I think anybody who loves competition has to appreciate someone who is going to push the envelope a little bit in terms of competing.
-
I am so personally hurt with losses. I really am an elephant like that. I don't forget. I can still feel the pain and sting of it (last year's loss to Tennessee). So when you consider the length of the season and when you can be a little tired, I am not. I am just fueled by what could have been.
-
I mean, really. I knew they counted on our fans, but wow.
-
They are really just special young ladies. They're daughters. They're great daughters. It felt good today. It felt good to see them smile.
-
They have been a joke with regards to the selection. I didn't say that earlier because I thought I'd get sent to Alaska and they don't have a regional there.
-
I wish we could get a little more out of her offensively, and I think it's going to come.
-
Essence's job was to keep Duffy quiet. When Duffy scored it was against somebody else.
-
I feel much better, and I thought this was a real test. This was the first real test where somebody came that was legitimate, not going to back down, and demonstrated that they play the same game all the time. So, it was nice to see that.
-
Kids don't play every second like it's their life. Those kinds of people are probably the ones who think that in the last seconds we're going to come back, or wait until we do this or do that, but they don't understand how quickly it escapes.
-
Anybody can distribute the ball, but what she wants to do is know how to break zones and how you can handle things. I think she wants to go to the next step, understanding that you can't play the same way. I think her improvement is simply a result of a year of reflection.
-
I really want this for her. I can't imagine me wanting something more personally as I want her to get this award.
-
She is one of a dying breed. I love her very much.
-
I think there needs to be a heightened sensitivity of athletic directors who are doing the hiring process. I'm proposing to see if we could develop a list of what I deem to be the important necessary skills to be a head coach at a high level.
-
We start off pretty fast, but now we've got to be able to maintain. It won't get a chance to get like that, because I will not let that happen again.
-
I don't like being scored on, to be honest with you. I'd rather beat you 21-3 than 100-75, because I just don't like being scored on.
-
When I looked in the faces of the senior class, this is the class as freshman that had nine wins and 20 losses. People gave up on us, but they (the seniors) didn't.
-
It was great to see our team execute, move the ball, take great shots, play defense, it was nice to see them play so free. It was one of the better games I've seen in a long time and it comes at no better time than now.
