Andrea Suarez Paz was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. She has embraced different ways of artistic expression throughout her life. She spent most of her childhood writing and her teenage years making music, painting and traveling, and managed to spend her early twenties on stage, leading a punk-rock band. Acting, however, had always been the thing she wanted to do most and in 2004 she moved to New York City to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she received the prestigious Angel Award for outstanding achievement at the time of her graduation. She has played several leading roles in plays and short films and finally landed her first leading role in a feature film in Stand Clear of the Closing Doors as Mariana.
