When I grew up, we didn't even talk about being gay. I didn't even hear the word lesbian when I was little. So to me, that's such huge progress to see everyone wanting to be on the right side of transgender history.
When you're a musician, anything you do creatively, you don't ever want to feel like you're on the way down. Not in the amount of money you make or success, but in your creativity. You want to always feel like you're making things that are better than what you did a few years ago.
I was so young, and I didn't know a lot about life yet, and part of me sometimes wishes that I could experience that now, knowing what I know and with a little more wisdom.
