Any band that you and I have listened to, if it’s overworked, if it’s thought about before then, it’s never going to happen. I think you have to be writing, you have to be arguing, you have to be in that environment.

We're kind of a weird band anyway, where we never fit in with indie or pop. We never really sat with either of those genres fully.

We kind of write pop songs, but we don't fit in the pop world. We're really bad at being pop stars and walking down red carpets. We've got our own little bubble, which we really like. We've learned to really like that.
