I'm open to sci-fi, but I was never a diehard fan. I have no idea why it keeps following me. I'm extremely lucky, I guess; it's a lucrative venue.
For me, when I get to the venue and have the people and the audience, my performance boosts up. I skate at a much higher level. I'm one of those people that feel like I can feed off the energy and be better. I love to perform.
A small venue is so much more intimate and loose. You can actually be more spontaneous, I feel.
When I first started, I'd play to a few people. My mum would invite everyone she knew and the venue was filled.
