I would write down the lyrics to 'C.R.E.A.M.' in Korean - not translating it, but phonetically writing out each word. I didn't know what they were saying, so I would just write everything down as I heard it. I would recite it and imitate it like that. That's how I started to write my own raps.

I set myself a rule before I actually write a tune to the lyrics, and the rule is that I've got to take the lyrics on to a level of understanding before I can actually write music to them. What I'm doing is interpretation. If I don't write the lyrics, therefore I must interpret them to the best of my ability. So my rule is that I must understand it, but I don't necessarily have to accept.

I really don't know. His lyrics are pretty out there. Daniel's lyrics are pretty personal. They are mostly personal things, and I don't really know what they are all about. All of us are a band and I still don't have a clue what the hell he's on about! But I don't care. I like his lyrics and I think they are really good. I don't think it's the happiest stuff in the world. It's like in some of the songs, it's got dark music as well as the dark lyrics.
