When you prepare for something, you can then play around; you're not as worried about remembering your lines because you already know them so well. That's where you can find the freedom. So I'm all about prep work.

I used Vamps as a casting couch! I pretty much did, because I was casting 'L!fe Happens' while I was on the set of Vamps, and anybody I had ever worked with, I asked to be in this movie.

I have a lot of girlfriends. That's sort of my whole thing is, I have really, really deep friendships, more so than anybody I've ever met.

To be honest, I didn't love the high-fashion world because models aren't always treated that well. I was a scrappy kid from a farm, and that world felt a little snobby. But I was grateful for it, and my photo shoots now are really fast because I know my poses.

I didn't know how to throw a punch - why would I? Who knows how to throw a punch? Now I do it all the time, and it makes me feel strong.

Everybody has that: everybody knows what it's like to go home and then regress and not be running from something, not like who you were when you were home. I think everybody relates to that.

I think backstory is really important to know because I'm all about prep work. I like to do all of my work right away, as soon as I get it. I'm incapable of procrastinating on anything, so I like to do all of the work.

It's hard to fight in high heels or even jeans that are too tight. You can't kick in skinny, skinny jeans.

I've always lived out of a suitcase. I was in a new city every three months. When I was a model, I traveled the world, and as an actor you're traveling from movie set to movie set. So I've never been in one place long enough for anything super-bad to happen.

I have a new little stray dog that I've had for about a month now. His name is Mikey Mohawk - he's this little terrier with a natural Mohawk. My friend found him hit by a car on Pico Boulevard.
