Norman John Berrill FRS FRSC was an English marine biologist. He was born in Bristol and received his B.Sc. degree from the University of Bristol and his Ph.D. and D.Sc. from the University of London. In 1928, he joined the faculty of McGill University, where, from 1946 to 1965, he was Strathcona Professor of Zoology. On 20 March 1952 he was named a Fellow of the Royal Society.
