He got better and better as the week went, and was close the other day. He just didn't have the lateral movement and the pace that he needs.
-
He's got another year after this one to contribute and play. He's an excellent athlete who works hard. We just want to give him more opportunities to get on the field. I think he will give us more production.
-
I want our team to know that we are not far off. We'll get those turnovers and we'll get those calls as we go through the year.
-
It's pretty obvious we need to continue to develop and improve our passing game, and to make sure of what we're asking our guys to do, they are capable of doing.
-
No status right now. It's not something I said I'd even consider until after the TCU game. It's after the game and I haven't seen him. So, I'm assuming he's quit the team for good and until I know different, we'll see. I won't entertain anything until he shows he has a good reason or he can justify what his actions have been.
-
We felt we needed to bolster our team along the offensive line because we had the fewest number of scholarship players returning at those positions. We feel like we met our needs. We recruit the kind of players that we feel can play early in their careers.
-
I'm not going to sit here and lobby anyone. We just got our butts whipped.
-
We don't expect Travis to play. He hasn't progressed to the point to where he is effective or can be at full speed. A receiver not at full speed makes it pretty tough.
-
I remember the night we saw him in Columbia as a freshman and thinking to myself that he was going to be a handful for the league over the next four years. That definitely turned out to be the case. He just presents so many challenges to a defense with his size, his speed and his feel of the game. He is also a player who had the respect of people around the Big 12 for the way he conducted himself. He is a person that the Missouri program and fans can be proud of in a lot of ways.
-
We're going to give Rhett Bomar and opportunity to start and see where he takes us.
-
Rufus Alexander made probably the biggest play of the game down at the goal line, and he got the ball back for us.
-
Don't anyone ever tell me that Adrian Peterson isn't tough. Guys like him don't come around all the time.
-
He handles it well and, I'll tell you, he has good hands. He catches the ball. He'll definitely be more a part of our passing offense.
-
This game isn't real complicated, in that if you turn the ball over you're going to get beat. Those guys quarterbacks each need to be more responsible with the ball.
-
As soon as I saw him go up for the ball I knew it wasn't going to be dropped. He doesn't drop balls.
-
I don't want to say the teams are mirror images of each other, ... but there's a lot of similarities on both sides of the ball.
-
He's had the fewest number of snaps overall when you look at his time here, and he's been that close all along. We feel like if he gets more snaps maybe he can do something with it. We'll see.
-
We'll see. At this point, we anticipate him playing. Start or not depends on how we feel practice is going, what we feel we need to do. Depending on what further happens from here, we'll see.
-
With Kansas, we need to execute better, ... Going up to Arrowhead Stadium to play KU, we need to do our best to be as sharp as we can.
-
To me, you look at both of those games, the turnovers are the biggest issue, and the turnovers lead to all the other problems.
-
He has worked hard on improving himself in many ways.
-
Even if it goes against us, I told the official, I thought it was fair.
-
It's easy to jump on one guy when something goes wrong. Hey, that's fine. We deserve the criticism, but track records over time also stand for something.
-
I'm not much of a rooter. They're two really good teams. I don't get into anybody's business but mine.
