We didn't do enough offensively to get it done, and we don't usually say that.
-
We don't have an identity as far as how we play on the defensive end. We might play well one night and on another night we won't play well. We always score the ball and average 100 points, so obviously our problem is in other areas. Until we take care of those problems, we're going to continue to struggle.
-
To me it's like starting all over, ... If you've watched any of the games I've played at the point guard position, it's honestly hard for other teams to stop it, because I'm putting pressure on guys. We don't always have to come down and rely on getting points off a set offense. We get a chance to run up and down the court and get a lot of easy baskets.
-
We've just got to understand that (tonight) is a different day and we've got to perform better than we did (Wednesday) night.
-
I was struggling. I couldn't really go to the basket as quick as I wanted to. When I did it was real painful.
-
It's a big win for us...just because we've been struggling to win a game after a game. You feel good about not giving up one after we win one.
-
We've got to come out the same way we come out in the second half, ... We've got to start the game with some sense of urgency. Once teams start hitting shots and get a read on us, it's gonna put our backs against the wall. That's something we need to be concerned about.
-
Man, people have been waiting for me to fall off my whole career. From the first time I stepped on the court. It probably made people sick to their stomachs watching my whole career, watching the things that I've done in my career.
-
We're going to need team efforts and we need each other down the stretch.
-
I don't want them to take my money, either. That's just like taking it and burning it.
-
These guys don't play it at a level like a Vince Carter or Tracy McGrady or myself.
-
When you are not practicing, someone else is getting better.
-
We just cracked. We had this game. We're not supposed to lose that one. I would rather get blown out.
-
For that to happen with 4.9 seconds left, it's devastating.
-
When we rebound the ball, we're able to do that. We don't want to come down and play a half-court game all the time.
-
We just got whipped from the beginning of the game to the end. They were making shots, they executed well both offensively and defensively. They just played real well tonight.
-
You know, I've always told him (Larry Brown) I wanted the relationship that Michael Jackson... Michael Jordan, I'm sorry. … I wanted the same relationship with him like Phil Jackson and Michael Jordan had.
-
He got himself involved. It wasn't so much anything we did specifically ? we did really the same things we've been doing. He found ways to get his hands on the ball.
-
I talked to him before the game, and I asked him why in some games he is not aggressive, and some games he is. He gave me an excuse, and I didn't buy it. Andre is not selfish at all, but he has to be selfish in that sense, to try and get shots up, because we need him to.
-
They knock Shaq about his free throws. I'm the one that needs to be getting knocked.
-
He has that confidence, that swagger with him. He doesn't feel like a little young guy out of place anymore. He feels welcome. He knows that, that's his spot and he's a part of this franchise.
-
I honestly thought as long as I got there before the ball went up, everything would be cool. I've been doing it that way my whole career and it never was a problem, even when coach (Larry) Brown was here.
-
I've always said, just go ask my teammates if you want to know about me. Go ask the guys that I've played with. Don't ask or get information about me from people who are not in the locker room or not around me all of the time. Then you'll get legit answers.

I was the bridge between the Michael Jordan era and LeBron James era.
