I don't put pressure on myself. I just compete.

You can't just put it on one thing. We have been doing a lot of things well. We are playing well together, we are defending, we are doing a lot of positive things out there.

I see kids today trying to do the things I did, and it makes me feel like I've come a long way.

We got things done at the right time tonight. Every time we went down we kept our composure and got back into the game. We were able to get a lead and sustain it. We showed a lot of character being that those guys (Washington) already had their playoff shirts made up and wanted to wear them after the game. We didn't give them a chance to do that, now they have to do it somewhere else. We had an extra incentive to beat them and that gave us a great lift. We just did everything right tonight.

People think that I'm some tough renegade, black-hearted being, evil, but that ain't me.
Allen Iverson

I think the biggest part of this was the fact that we were coming into an arena where the guys were 0-7.

She was laying on the floor and she'd be having her arm around me.

We score with the best of them. If we concentrate on defense like we do on offense, then we'll win a lot more ballgames.

Saying something won't mean anything. We're gonna have to do it. I can't tell you anything that's gonna make you feel like we can turn it around. All I can do is believe in that and realize we're still alive. We still have a chance to make it into another season, and that's the most important part of all of it.

We've just got to understand that (tonight) is a different day and we've got to perform better than we did (Wednesday) night.

When you get down like that, you use up so much energy to get back into the basketball game. Then you have to be perfect the rest of the way. And playing this game, there is no way you can be perfect, because this game is so hard.

I didn't know I had this many fans in Puerto Rico. I'm going to carry this memory to my grave.

When we rebound the ball, we're able to do that. We don't want to come down and play a half-court game all the time.
Allen Iverson

I hope they were glad I was back and I hope that I did give them some type of confidence. It's important for my confidence for me to feel wanted and be able to go out there and make something happen.

To me it's like starting all over, ... If you've watched any of the games I've played at the point guard position, it's honestly hard for other teams to stop it, because I'm putting pressure on guys. We don't always have to come down and rely on getting points off a set offense. We get a chance to run up and down the court and get a lot of easy baskets.
Allen Iverson

I believe that whatever we have, regardless of a trade being done or not, I feel we have a shot. I've just got to believe that we're going to be all right. I've got to just play basketball.
Allen Iverson

I think I'm getting better as a basketball player.

You play 82 games, and it's unheard of that you win every game, but this is one we should have had.
Allen Iverson

Believe me, I am not even that brave enough to miss that many practices.
Allen Iverson

I want to play. Obviously we didn't get it done the first time I was a part of that team. If God blesses me with another opportunity to try it, it would be an honor. I would have a second shot at fulfilling one of my goals.

It's just learning the game more. Just trying to approach it in a John Stockton-type of way, to where you don't play so much with your physical ability all the time. You have to think the game out a lot more. That's where I'm a lot better. I know the game a lot more. I see things before they happen a lot.

I don't want them to take my money, either. That's just like taking it and burning it.

If we don't have Willie it's going to hurt us. But we have so many guys ready to step up.

We've got a guy on the team who was 8 years old when I first got into the league.
