I could have played 48 minutes. I have never had problems with my conditioning before. For a coach to say that he thinks my conditioning isn't there, that was something new for me. Because nobody never told me that, nobody questioned my conditioning or injuries or anything like that.
-
We just cracked. We had this game. We're not supposed to lose that one. I would rather get blown out.
-
You know, I've always told him (Larry Brown) I wanted the relationship that Michael Jackson... Michael Jordan, I'm sorry. … I wanted the same relationship with him like Phil Jackson and Michael Jordan had.
-
He gave me an excuse, and I didn't buy it.
-
I take everything I learned from the streets and put it in my NBA game.
-
The whole team learned a lot tonight, ... I was glad to we had that situation where it was a close game and we had to get it done. We had to get a stop. We showed a lot of character there.
-
I told him before the play that if both men went to me, to go to the basket and get a good shot. Things didn't go the way we wanted tonight.
-
I had my popcorn just like probably everybody else. I was watching, and I was calling people up on the phone to make sure they were watching it. It's like, when you see a game like that, you're so much a fan ...
-
I hope they were glad I was back and I hope that I did give them some type of confidence. It's important for my confidence for me to feel wanted and be able to go out there and make something happen.
-
I got us off to a bad start from the beginning of the game. The magnitude of the game and being in so many games like that, for me to be the one to act like I had never been in a game like that is unacceptable. I fully take responsibility for this one.
-
We weren't ready to handle the back screens and all the cuts. They execute their plays to the fullest and get the best shot possible.
-
When we rebound the ball, we're able to do that. We don't want to come down and play a half-court game all the time.
-
If we don't have Willie it's going to hurt us. But we have so many guys ready to step up.
-
I see kids today trying to do the things I did, and it makes me feel like I've come a long way.
-
We got things done at the right time tonight. Every time we went down we kept our composure and got back into the game. We were able to get a lead and sustain it. We showed a lot of character being that those guys (Washington) already had their playoff shirts made up and wanted to wear them after the game. We didn't give them a chance to do that, now they have to do it somewhere else. We had an extra incentive to beat them and that gave us a great lift. We just did everything right tonight.
-
If it didn't work out right, I'd probably be in here losing a lot of my money. That was bad. At that juncture of the game and on a significant play like that, you have to be able to see that play.
-
We're not eliminated till we're eliminated. I just feel good about not being eliminated. We get to live another day.
-
We've got a guy on the team who was 8 years old when I first got into the league.
-
You can't just put it on one thing. We have been doing a lot of things well. We are playing well together, we are defending, we are doing a lot of positive things out there.
-
I've always said, just go ask my teammates if you want to know about me. Go ask the guys that I've played with. Don't ask or get information about me from people who are not in the locker room or not around me all of the time. Then you'll get legit answers.
-
I gave everything I had to basketball. The passion is still there but the desire to play is not. It was a great ride.
-
You have to go through good times and bad times to get where you're trying to go.
-
When you lose, there is a whole bunch of room for negativity and I don't feed into this stuff and I do not do any talking. I don't run my mouth.
-
We moved the ball around today. Everybody did a great job playing off each other.
