He gave me an excuse, and I didn't buy it.

I could have played 48 minutes. I have never had problems with my conditioning before. For a coach to say that he thinks my conditioning isn't there, that was something new for me. Because nobody never told me that, nobody questioned my conditioning or injuries or anything like that.

I want to play. Obviously we didn't get it done the first time I was a part of that team. If God blesses me with another opportunity to try it, it would be an honor. I would have a second shot at fulfilling one of my goals.

I take everything I learned from the streets and put it in my NBA game.

I see kids today trying to do the things I did, and it makes me feel like I've come a long way.

When we rebound the ball, we're able to do that. We don't want to come down and play a half-court game all the time.
Allen Iverson
-
We moved the ball around today. Everybody did a great job playing off each other.

I was the bridge between the Michael Jordan era and LeBron James era.

I got us off to a bad start from the beginning of the game. The magnitude of the game and being in so many games like that, for me to be the one to act like I had never been in a game like that is unacceptable. I fully take responsibility for this one.

I don't want them to take my money, either. That's just like taking it and burning it.

The whole team learned a lot tonight, ... I was glad to we had that situation where it was a close game and we had to get it done. We had to get a stop. We showed a lot of character there.

You have to be a strong teammate when you're playing with me. And I have to be strong myself because of the controversy, just putting me against my team one second, and then putting my team against me the next second.
Allen Iverson
-
If it didn't work out right, I'd probably be in here losing a lot of my money. That was bad. At that juncture of the game and on a significant play like that, you have to be able to see that play.

I hope they were glad I was back and I hope that I did give them some type of confidence. It's important for my confidence for me to feel wanted and be able to go out there and make something happen.

I was struggling. I couldn't really go to the basket as quick as I wanted to. When I did it was real painful.
Allen Iverson

When you're not writing, you're not doing anything else either because everything you do goes into the writing.

It's just learning the game more. Just trying to approach it in a John Stockton-type of way, to where you don't play so much with your physical ability all the time. You have to think the game out a lot more. That's where I'm a lot better. I know the game a lot more. I see things before they happen a lot.

This is the thing you dream about when you're a kid, even before getting into the league.
Allen Iverson

We just cracked. We had this game. We're not supposed to lose that one. I would rather get blown out.
Allen Iverson

I think Leon told Mo (76ers coach Maurice Cheeks) that they weren't inviting me.

If we don't have Willie it's going to hurt us. But we have so many guys ready to step up.
Allen Iverson

We're trying to get better, and we're not where we want to be -- but we've progressed. If we stay consistent on defense, we'll be fine. We'll get the easy baskets and then won't have rely on jumpers.
Allen Iverson
-
You can't just put it on one thing. We have been doing a lot of things well. We are playing well together, we are defending, we are doing a lot of positive things out there.
Allen Iverson

We're not eliminated till we're eliminated. I just feel good about not being eliminated. We get to live another day.
