This is the payoff for us, to be on the road. To be on stage and see the kids hungry for the music, to see them excited. That's why we do this.
Dan Donegan Disturbed -
One thing about the Arena Football League, they know how to generate excitement. They have us opening the season at the same place where our season ended last year. It will be an electric atmosphere, and I, for one, can't wait.

Spread the sickness, infect the world.

I'm an indestructible master of war.

That's definitely more of a classic sound. We've been encouraging him to do it for quite some time and I'm glad that he's finally come to his senses and has decided to show the world how great he can rip on that thing.
David Draiman Disturbed -
We figured that since we've been gone from the road for a while, let's make it a little more intimate, do multiple nights (in some cities) and get the connection back with the fans.
Dan Donegan Disturbed -
It certainly lit our fire a little bit. It certainly made us appreciate what we have.
David Draiman Disturbed -
Everyone has a struggle in life, and the question is do you allow yourself to be overcome by it or do you master it with unified strength and power. This is exactly what the music was meant to do, to transend your normal world, to make you more than what you are, to make you set down your burden for a while. Feel powerful, feel invincible, feel indestructible; believe in something as opposed to believing in nothing; spread the sickness, infect the world.

My dad used to take me when I was little. I always try to catch the show now, because it doesn't cost too much more than a movie ticket, and live events are always more attention-grabbing.
John Moyer Disturbed -
We're the only species on the planet that can't walk around the way we were created.
John Moyer Disturbed -
I believe holding hands keeps you close and makes you feel close. We hold hands everywhere we go.
John Moyer Disturbed -
I want to lead people toward finding hope through the purity and healing power of metal.
David Draiman Disturbed -
I just think the whole message within the song fits with today's themes. It fits with the majority of stuff that David writes about.
Dan Donegan Disturbed -
We don't have a particular plan. We just do what we do. This is the only way we know how to do it. We make the music that moves us. We use it as therapy. The songs are cathartic. They're ways of dealing with life experiences and the world around you. It's meant to be as a release for us as it is for other people.
David Draiman Disturbed

It's multifaceted, the message to our music. It's not just that. It's about individuality, development of self, finding things in life that you can be passionate about.
David Draiman Disturbed -
I would like to thank a world that never understood or accepted me, family and friends that never believed in me, and a God with one hell of a sense of humor. You have all made me what I am today. Let that weigh heavily on your consciences.
David Draiman Disturbed -
about the name Disturbed It had been a name I have been contemplating for a band for years. It just seems to symbolize everything we were feeling at the time. The level of conformity that people are forced into was disturbing to us and we were just trying to push the envelope and the name just sorta made sense.
David Draiman Disturbed -
I think part of it is a tribute to Dimebag.

Our plant's outstanding record for safety and performance is a testament to the dedication of the more than 400 men and women who work at the plant. Our employees are committed to nuclear safety, personnel safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement. The last 10 years of operation have been the best performance years in the plant's history.

Probably. When we got together and started throwing around the ideas, I just started bringing out some old riffs I used to play. 'Guarded' and 'Decadence' are pretty much straight-up, aggressive tracks on the album. Those were the first two ideas I had come up with. That set the tone right off the bat of it being a little bit more aggressive at times. Out of 19 songs that we tracked 14 going on the album that's a lot of material. We try to give every song its own identity. We don't want to fall in the rut of being a repetitious-sounding band. We don't want every song to sound like 'Down with the Sickness' or 'Prayer' . It's got to be a creative mood. It's got to be its own thing.

This is not rocket science. Instead of spending all this money litigating against kids who are the people they're trying to sell things to in the first place, they have to learn how to effectively use the Internet. For the artists, my ass... I didn't ask them to protect me, and I don't want their protection.
David Draiman Disturbed -
We definitely aren't going to put anything out unless we feel like we're growing. And I think because of the respect that we all have for each other, we kind of build up each other's confidence.
Dan Donegan Disturbed -
It's that iconic imagery of that sea of raised fists during a live performance. It's a symbol of unity and strength and at the same time there are elements of defiance and rebellion that are inherent in that raised fist symbol. It's just one of those iconic pieces of imagery from the life of rock 'n' roll.
David Draiman Disturbed -
I have a good seat (on my bike). No chaffing.
