What I noticed at Grace-Calvary is the same thing I notice whenever people aim to solve their conflicts with one another by turning to the bible: defending the dried ink marks on the page becomes more vital than defending their neighbor. As a general rule, I would say that human beings never behave more badly toward one another than when they believe they are protecting God. Jesus pioneers internally and outworks externally. The Bible describes him as the pioneer of our salvation, the pioneer of our faith. And I would describe him as the pioneer of our hearts. Salvation is something that Christ does in our heart that changes our eternal destiny. It changes your reason for being, it changes your sense of purpose, it changes the way you live, it changes the reason for our gifts and talents, it changes our families and our marriages. Ultimately salvation that starts in the heart has an impact on generations to come. What is it that is in your heart?

Bless, O Lord, the whole race of mankind and let the world be filled with the knowledge of Thee and Thy son, Jesus Christ.

Since I was 18 years old, I have taught the Bible. For the last fifteen or twenty years, I have taught every Sunday when I was home or near my own house, so that would be 35 or 40 times per year. Half of those Sundays, the text comes from the Hebrew Bible. I have had a deep personal interest in the Holy Land and in the teachings of the Hebrew people. God has a special position for the Jewish people, the Hebrews, or whatever. I know the difference between ancient Israel and Judaea, and I know the history. I don't have any problem with the Jewish people.

When God put everybody here, I don't think that he had a master plan of a pecking order. That's not what you see in the Bible.
