Quite often when I record a song, writing it and making a demo is the big thing and, after that, I think, how do I actually translate this into real life? A lot of the time I think I can't be bothered.
I usually compose the riffs and structure in my head and then figure it out on guitar. Sometimes in that process, I’ll create even better riffs and arrangements. But it all starts in my head. Once I make a demo of the arrangement, it goes to the other guys and we finish it together.
If people can be bothered to organise a demo, write songs, paint signs, and march through the streets holding those signs and singing those songs, outraged, you can be pretty sure they’ll have a valid point.
