We also traveled the world. I went to South America and went to Europe three times in five years. Eventually, tired of traveling, quit the band, get a job, be a local band member, and live out a retired life.
As a solo artist, I just felt cemented in front of the mike stand. There was very little time to play with the audience and be a band member.
The more confident you are, the more you can let go and believe that the people you've chosen to be in your circle are able to do what they say they're going to do and what they're really good at. It has made me a better band member, too.
