All of us that have teams want to pick the right people. I've thought a lot about that. In the NFL, we've got 13 scouts traveling the country. We're trying to pick 22 year-olds coming out of college who will be successful in the NFL. It's very hard to do. What I've learned is it's always character first.

I like what we've got at quarterback. I like our depth there. You know, we'll see.

Maybe we just like winners, ... We hope some of that will carry over to the Redskins.

Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate, ... and I'm picking up the tab!

I think we've got a ton to play for. Each one of these games is kind of precious to us. We need to get back on the winning track. Everyone can count the numbers. We've got five wins; we've got five games left.

We came up short on offense and that's on me.

We're excited to have Brandon here. We think he'll add something to our program. He's a gifted receiver.

I was very pleased with both starting groups there, ... It's still preseason, but we needed a good lift.

All I want to do is win. I'll change anything about me, what I'm doing, the coaching staff . . . I don't care.

I'll tell you what - if you attend a Cowboy-Redskins game, you better not leave 'til that clock hits zero...

I'm just happy for him that he is playing well, ... A lot of times up here you go through tough things. At any one time in the NFL, you're going to have a number of players on a team who are going through tough situations. A lot of times the way they handle it is a measure of someone's character. I think that was Mark's situation last year and Patrick's situation now. The way you go through the tough times leads you to improvement and great performance in the future. It's a test of character when you go through that.

The further you go in life, the more you realize what you're going to leave this earth. It's not going be, "It was a great platform. It was great to win the Super Bowl." But, really and truly what you're going to leave this earth is the influence on others.

We always want to get him in the game plan. We always want to get him the ball. Last week against Dallas, he only had three catches, but they were all big. He was one of the keys to us offensively and we try to work hard to get him the ball.

God made certain people to play football. He was one of them.

Here is one of the biggest games I've ever been at, and Patrick Ramsey has to go in and try and win it for us. He's handled this situation better than I think anybody could, and it's a tribute to his character. He was ready. He stepped in and made some plays for us.

Just doing his part, ... He doesn't have to do more than that, you know. Direct it and get us points, but just do his part. I think one thing about Patrick is he's a real good student. I think he's smart. When you put the game plan in he has a feel for what we're doing there, so he only has to do his part. He doesn't have to make something happen by himself.

It has been a big emphasis for us this week.

Their defense is tough. We know it's going to be stacked against us, but at least we have the opportunity and the chance.

I think it's just a matter of getting back in there and letting him do a little bit of everything. I don't think we've decided on a specific role for him. Hopefully, he's going to be getting some major work for us and major playing time.
Joe Gibbs

To Mark's benefit, ... I think he's been really consistent with his play since we started back this year. I think he's been confident and sure.
Joe Gibbs

It's great at least to be at 4-2, ... That part is fun. You get to play games that count now. We're entering a tough stretch here. It starts with the Giants.

It's kind of hard to put your finger on it. There are a lot of things that you could sit here and make excuses about or something.

As a coach, you feel like you're letting everybody down.
