Earl Walker Jackson Sr. is a American conservative politician, Protestant minister, and lawyer in Virginia. According to The Washington Post, Jackson is known for his incendiary remarks about non-Christians and homosexuality on his radio show, “The Awakening.”He has been condemned by constitutional experts, historians and academic researchers for his comments distorting history regarding first amendment of US constitution, his opposition to religious freedom anseparation of church & state, his derogatory comments to gays, Islamophobia and antisemitism. He was the Republican Party nominee for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in the 2013 election.Jackson was a Republican primary candidate for the United States Senate in Virginia in the 2012 election, and sought the nomination again in 2018.
