I never thought in terms of career. I just saw it in terms of being able to play and sing and doing what you wanted to, and being a free guy. I never had ambitions to be a star or anything like that. I wanted to do my own thing and do it my way, and people could take it or leave it, which was a pretty arrogant attitude.
