I originally had the stupid idea of doing a record with only male artists that I wanted to call Playing With Balls. Then I had so many songs, not all of which sounded like big, balls-y songs so I changed my concept a little bit. However, I still want to do that album, but only with industrial, rock, and macho guys. I'll sing over all of it if they're not too scared to let me do that...grrrr.

After leaving Evanescence, I dealt with a lot of sh--, then being diagnosed as bipolar, and my heavy drug use and rehab ... this record went through all that with me, so making it was a complete catharsis, ... I'm focusing on me and getting the unhealthy things out of my life, which isn't always an easy thing to do, but that's been my main focus right now. I'm still on a journey, you know, but I'm a lot happier now. I can sleep easier.

Berry's On Top is probably my favorite record of all time; it defines rock and roll. A lot of people have done Chuck Berry songs, but to get that feel is really hard. It's the rock and roll thing-the push-pull and the rhythm of it.
